Estate Planning + Administration
We advise corporate and individual clients in connection with Probate and Estate Administration matters, which involve the preparation of wills, estate planning and administration. We have attorneys-at-law in our firm who possess a strong knowledge of the processes relating to the various estate applications, including but not limited to Grants of Probate, Letters of Administration, Resealing and Exemplification.

To accomplish the many goals of estate planning, we utilise a variety of estate planning documents and legal strategies tailored to meet the needs of our clients. From a simple will to a trust and comprehensive estate plan, our Attorneys have the knowledge to ensure that your wealth passes to the beneficiaries of your choice. Most of the relevant Trinidad and Tobago legislation is modelled on “old” United Kingdom legislation, in particular, the Wills Act of 1937. The following Acts and Ordinances are applicable:
- Administration of Estates Act, Chap 9:01
- Succession Act, Chap 9:02
- Wills and Probate Act, Chap 9:03
- Trustee Ordinance, Chap 8 No 3
Note: Estate Duty was abolished in respect of the estate of persons dying on or after 1st January 1981.
