Experience:

Dennis practiced as a solicitor in England following his admission to practice in 1976. He joined the firm in September 1977 and practiced civil litigation. In 1997, Dennis became a member of the firm’s corporate and commercial team. His breadth of experience therefore spans both litigation and corporate and commercial law. Dennis advises on a wide range of matters, including acquisitions, joint ventures, company incorporation, corporate governance, banking, commercial litigation, estate planning and administration, pension schemes and dispute resolutions.

Apart from practicing as an attorney-at-law, notary public, mediator and arbitrator, he served as secretary and Vice President of the Trinidad and Tobago Law Association and is a director of several of companies including President’s Award Foundation, Dispute Resolution Centre, and FirstCaribbean International Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited.s

Dennis became a Certified Mediator in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006 and has mediated several commercial disputes. He has also chaired an arbitration tribunal appointed under the ICC Rules. Dennis has acted for both applicants and claimants in many international and domestic arbitration proceedings in the Caribbean and North America.s

In December 2011 Dennis was awarded the status of Senior Counsel to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
